CIS events provide a range of opportunities for guidance counsellors and students to connect with CIS Higher Education Members seeking to recruit academically prepared international students to their campuses.
CIS offers the following events for Guidance Counsellors:
CIS Forum on International Admission and Guidance – A two-day global conference of more than 500 guidance counsellors and higher education admissions and recruitment professionals who gather annually to discuss university admission and guidance topics and develop professional linkages with colleagues.
CIS Institutes on International Admission and Guidance – One or two-day workshops that bring higher education admission and recruitment professionals together with guidance counsellors in a particular world region for an opportunity to discuss university admission and guidance topics and develop professional linkages.
University Counsellor Tour – The University Counsellor Tour offers guidance counsellors from schools around the world the opportunity to visit higher education institutions in a region of the United States or Canada annually. The tour is organized by the CIS Guidance Committee and takes place during the month of July.
CIS International College / University Fairs in Europe – These annual fairs are provided by CIS in cooperation with local school partners. They offer an ideal opportunity for guidance counsellors and their students to talk face-to-face with admissions officials from CIS member universities/colleges who understand a variety of international school curricula and actively recruit students from all over the world.
CIS International College / University Fairs in the United States – These annual fairs are provided by CIS in cooperation with IB Americas and offer guidance counsellors an ideal opportunity for their IB Students to talk face-to-face with over 70 admissions officials from CIS member universities/colleges who understand the IB and who actively recruit IB graduates.
CIS College and University Tours – Provides opportunities for students, parents and guidance counsellors to meet with admission and recruitment officers from CIS colleges and university members as they visit schools in various regions of the world.
