FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I apply with the CIS Educator Recruitment Service?

Firstly, you will need to create an initial account on the CIS website. You will then receive confirmation of this account and your login details via email; log in to access an application form, upload required documents and check on the progress of your references. Once CIS have received all the necessary documentation, your portfolio is reviewed, and if approved, your account will be activated in our database.

How long does the application process take?

Once you have submitted the application form and uploaded the required documents, the time it takes to establish your file varies and will depend on how long it takes for your referees to respond and the current workload experienced by the CIS Recruitment staff. Once we have all the necessary documentation, we aim to review your file within a week.

Will CIS contact my referees to request a reference?

Please note CIS will send all your designated referees the CIS reference from once you submit Stage 1 of the application.

Is my registration guaranteed?

CIS screens and selects educators whom we determine to be competitive candidates for international employment based upon a thorough review of professional experience, credentials and written references. We seek candidates with successful, relevant experience at an accredited primary or secondary school and strong educational qualifications.

Are there any fees involved?

The fee for candidates is €180 for three years, which is payable after approval and before your portfolio will be activated. CIS will send you a link to complete online payment once your application has been completed.

When and how do recruiters have access to my file?

Once your application has been approved, recruiters have unlimited access to your recruitment file through a secure online candidate database and may contact you via email regarding vacancies at their schools.
