Dr. David A. Wells provides consulting services for international schools in several critical and challenging areas, including leadership training, school governance, and strategic planning. David has substantial experience working with school proprietors and with school boards on leadership challenges related to organizational structure and on defining the roles, responsibilities, and relationships among ownership, governance, and management.

David’s school leadership experience includes headship of four schools, including schools in Puerto Rico, New York, and Ecuador. He also has management experience in the social services field and in private business, and serves on several boards. David’s masters and doctoral degrees are in the field of educational administration and supervision. David was a Senior Consultant with the firm PAIDEIA, Inc. from 2011 through 2017, and is the founding Executive and Managing Consultant of the GLOBAL School Consulting Group. 

As a central part of his consulting practice, David presents governance training to school boards; develops governance policy manuals for emerging schools; serves as a leadership and management “coach” for new heads and board presidents; provides ongoing support for school proprietors implementing a governance structure in their schools; and facilitates strategic planning.
