Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you ready to share your expertise and passion for your specialism with our students?
Bordeaux International School has a vacancy for a well-qualified and experienced teacher of Advanced Level Physics and Chemistry to small groups of motivated students in a truly international environment.

Suitable candidates should be native English speakers and have previous experience and a thorough knowledge of the University of Cambridge A-Level Examination syllabus. They should also show enthusiasm for science and the ability to inspire the same enthusiasm in high school students.

The duties will include creating interesting, motivating and differentiated lesson plans, preparing and delivering lessons, creating and supervising laboratory activities for students, evaluating student performance, maintaining classroom records, meeting with parents, teachers and other professionals and participating in general school events.

We are offering a position comprising 17 hours per week spread over three days (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) to be filled as soon as possible.

Salary: (from November 2017 - mid June 2018) 2000 € gross per month (plus profit sharing scheme for all employees).

Working at BIS

Candidates must have a valid working paper for France.
This post is a fixed term contract (CDD), that may become permanent after a period of two years, when the member of staff also becomes a member of the school governing body - managed by a co-operative (SCOP).
