The Council of International Schools (CIS) is a global non-profit membership organization committed to high-quality education. Our community includes more than 1350 schools and universities representing 123 countries.

Through CIS, members are able to develop relationships with member schools and the more than 550,000 students they enroll each year. CIS member universities use our services to raise their profile among a highly mobile and academically well-prepared population of students.

CIS member universities are committed to international education. All CIS members agree to a Code of Ethics to promote the highest standards of ethical practice and professional behaviour in the recruitment and admission of students into institutions of higher education.

CIS connects higher education institutions with schools, students, and the school guidance community through many events each year including student recruitment tours, student recruitment fairs, and several global and regional conferences that bring together admissions and recruitment professionals and guidance counsellors.

For us, belonging to CIS is a signal to students, counsellors, and parents that we adhere to international standards and practices in admissions counselling. It is motivating to be part of this expert community and we have seen tangible results from our membership in just the first year.
