Strengthen your school’s child safeguarding by improving how you recruit and select adults who work with children.
Designed for busy school leaders and HR professionals, this modular workshop helps you build safer recruitment practices without stepping away from your role for a full day.
This learning engagement combines asynchronous online learning with three live, facilitated sessions delivered across three separate days. The structure allows you to engage deeply with the content, reflect between sessions, and apply your learning in a practical way within your own school context.

How the workshop works
This modular workshop combines short self-paced activities with three live online sessions. Each live learning session is 2–3 hours. The schedule is designed to give you time to absorb what you learn, ask questions, and apply ideas between sessions—without needing to step away from school for a full day.
- Learn in three, focused live sessions spread over a week, designed to fit alongside a busy school week
- Engage with peers facing similar regional challenges through facilitated breakout discussions
- Build understanding over time, with space to reflect and apply learning between sessions
- Take part in a manageable learning experience without losing a full day out of school
- Access updated information about recommended international practices
What’s included:
- Live learning
Three interactive sessions where you learn with CIS experts and your peers through discussion, activities, and shared experience
- Regional peer breakouts
Dedicated time to explore real challenges and practical approaches with colleagues in similar regional contexts
- Self-paced learning
A small amount of online learning (approximately 2–3 hours in total) to support and extend the live sessions. This can be completed during the week; there is no expectation of weekend study
