This year, we have launched new tools, new events, welcomed new members of our global team, and more!

The heart of our work at CIS is our commitment to develop socially responsible leadership through international education. Every day, we strive to inspire, guide, and develop the people in our educational communities so they can make a long-term impact, not just within our schools and universities, but across the world as a whole. It is through the example we set as leaders—through our actions and behaviours—that we can influence the next generation to lead with integrity and purpose. —Jane Larsson, Executive Director |

We launched the CIS Pedagogy Playbook, an online tool designed to guide school leaders as they assess their priorities for learning, make informed decisions about teaching, and incorporate the voices and needs of learners and the community into this process. This is freely available to all schools. |
We welcomed Frederico Silva as Director of CIS Higher Education Services to lead our team and further develop services facilitating international student recruitment, admission and support for their transitions to higher education and beyond. |
We began offering new Child Protection Deep Dive workshops. These one-day and half-day workshops help schools develop safer international recruitment practices and induction training for safeguarding leads. |
A CIS Summit working group continues to identify new forms of student assessment as they leave secondary schools and apply to universities. They created the following list of research-based competencies and frameworks frequently used or cited in new and emerging assessment models. |
62 schools achieved CIS International Accreditation or re-accreditation this year, demonstrating their school community's commitment to high-quality international education. |
43 schools and universities have joined the CIS membership community so far this year. |
We've hosted 10 professional learning and networking events already this year supporting almost 650 attendees from over 370 member institutions. |
We announced a program for CIS member schools focused on the assessment of student competencies in partnership with Melbourne Metrics at the University of Melbourne Australia. The New Metrics International Schools Program will develop a complementary assessment record to predict a student's agency to enter university life, undertake new studies, and succeed. |
