Keynote speakers revealed for next month's global forum

We're counting down to the CIS Global Forum on International University Admission & Guidance on 16–18 November by revealing two of our keynote speakers.

Shanton Chang, Professor of Information Behaviour at the School of Computing and Information Systems, The University of Melbourne, will explore relevant skills for the post-pandemic world, asking how schools and universities might engage teachers, parents and students themselves as they work to acquire these skills.

Darnell Fine, coach, writer, teacher, and facilitative leader will take centre stage to help us envision what admissions and counselling looks like beyond the myths of non-racism. We anticipate another energising exchange of perspectives that strengthen relationships and support student transitions from school to higher education.

Bill Mitchell, Clinical Psychologist, will describe how we can re-set our energy and resilience system through practical steps for better self-awareness, understanding the connections between our physiology and mental well-being, and the power of mindset and mental habits for maintaining our energy and resilience despite the pressures we face.

Musimbi Kanyoro, Board Chair of United World Colleges and Women's Learning Partnership, and Faith Abiodun, recently appointed Executive Director of the United World Colleges (UWC) International, will address how we can embrace the courage to adapt so we can prepare students to thrive in universities and beyond.
