The Council of International Schools (CIS) is pleased to announce that Dr Sudha Govindswamy Sunder has been appointed as the next Director of International Accreditation. Currently serving as Associate Director of the School Support & Evaluation Team, Sudha will become Director of International Accreditation in 2027. She succeeds Olivia Roth, who has decided to pursue new professional and personal opportunities after leading CIS accreditation services since 2022.

Sudha brings extensive experience in international education, a collaborative leadership style, and a strong commitment to advancing socially responsible learning communities through CIS International Accreditation.

Over the past four years, Olivia has led a period of significant growth and innovation within CIS accreditation, including the development of a future-focused accreditation framework, the expansion of evaluator training and professional learning opportunities, the strengthening of the global School Support & Evaluation Team, and growth in the number of schools engaged with CIS International Accreditation. We thank Olivia for her leadership and lasting contributions to the CIS community, and we look forward to the continued evolution of our accreditation work under Sudha's leadership.
