The International Safeguarding Development Programme provides those leading child protection and safeguarding programmes at their school with the opportunity to learn about effective practices through professional development opportunities and then use an online developmental toolkit to monitor safeguarding activities.

We have expanded the annual subscription for our toolkit to include this reworked development programme for school safeguarding leads.

Through this programme, you will:

• Learn about effective practices through a series of eight expert led sessions, including case study consultation and a suite of online learning activities.
• Build a network of support by participating in professional development as a cohort with peers from other CIS member schools.
• Identify areas of strength and areas for development using the included International Safeguarding toolkit, an online tool used to measure and track effective practices within the school. The toolkit content applies to schools in any legal or cultural context, and indicators will point out where schools need to confer with in-country laws.
• Access risk assessments and safety plans, guidance briefings, policy templates, and more in the extensive resource library. Hundreds of resources are organized around the eight elements of the CIS Safeguarding model.
• Create reviews to track progress and share summaries with school leadership, Board members, and the wider school community.
• Prepare information and evidence for any accreditation process.

The International Safeguarding Development Programme is a subscription service available to all CIS member schools. The annual subscription fee is €1,050, which includes the eight training sessions for one school member and unlimited use of the toolkit in your school.
