Are you ready to create a more supportive, connected environment for students, families, and colleagues experiencing transitions in your educational community?
The Foundations of Transitions-Care course will help you discover the transformative power of positive transitions-care. This engaging five-week online course is crafted for schools and higher education institutions eager to empower their communities with practical strategies and lifelong skills for navigating transitions.
You will learn how to embed effective transitions-care programming within your institution and why this is essential to support learners. Using a whole-institution approach fosters connections between educational stages, enabling institutions to share effective strategies across departments, anticipate transitioning students' needs, foster resilience, and ensure that positive transitions-care is woven throughout every step of a learner's educational experience.
How you will learn & connect:
- Resources and experiences are offered through a blended online learning experience via 5 asynchronous learning modules and 3 live synchronous, collaborative learning sessions.
- Each module is focused on the foundations of transitions-care, equipping you to embed positive and sustainable transitions-care into your educational community.
- In the final module, you will apply your learning to create a Transitions-Care Artefact that you can immediately implement in your institution.
- In the third live session, participants will share artefacts and reflect on intended outcomes.
- The course is in alignment with the CIS International Accreditation Framework.
Take this course as an individual or as a team:
This course can be completed as an individual, and you will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with other participants. Taking this course as a school or university team creates the opportunity to grow together, strengthening collective capacity and vision. By engaging in the modules as a group, your team will not only understand the importance of well-managed transitions but also identify ways to proactively address challenges unique to your context. Team members will collaborate to evaluate current policies and practices, align shared goals, and develop a unified approach that enhances intercultural experiences and supports the entire community.
Commitment: You can expect to spend approximately 18 hours on this programme over a 5-week period. 3 hours are spent learning collaboratively in 3 live sessions with a global cohort of participants. 15 hours will be dedicated to self-paced work and asynchronous learning.
