The event is designed for university admission and counselling professionals at CIS school and universities to:

• School counsellors: promote your school and students to a broad audience of admissions representatives from our member universities
• University admissions representatives: enjoy direct access to hundreds of international school counsellors from our member schools

We welcome university guidance counsellors and future pathways advisors at CIS schools and recruitment, admissions, and student services professionals at CIS universities.

Two separate CIS events in Basel in November: The Global Forum + A New Workshop 

Consider extending your trip to Basel and attending our new CIS Workshop Bridging the Gap between Schools and Universities: Post-secondary transitions & international student recruitment, success, & well-being. The workshop takes place on 13 November (the day before the Forum). 

The workshop is a professional learning event guided by experts in the fields of post-secondary and cross-cultural transitions related to student success and well-being. It will draw on the CIS Transition Care Model, which is only available to CIS member institutions.

What’s the difference between the Forum and the Workshop?

The Forum is a peer-led professional learning and networking event focused on the latest trends in international admissions and guidance and building networks across the community to support students applying to university. This workshop offers guided professional learning and development by experts in the field who we invite to partner with CIS to deliver the training.  

While there’s a cap of two people per institution allocated for attending the CIS Forum to ensure as many schools and universities can be represented as possible, we offer flexibility on this rule if you or your colleague is also in Basel for the workshop. In this exception, we will extend your Forum cap to 3 participants per institution. Learn more about the workshop.
