Headshot of Katrice Horsley

Katrice Horsley is an International Narrative Consultant and Storyteller. Her work has taken her all over the world from Singapore to Netherlands and Norway to Peru and it has included working with Early Years Teachers in Mexico to Business Leaders in Denmark.

She always had a passion for words, stemming from the fact that she was speech impaired as a child and struggled to talk. Her teachers classed her as educationally sub-normal as a result of this which is one of the reasons that she now is a passionate ambassador for the importance of story as a tool in communication development. Katrice has trained teachers, community change agents and business leaders in the use of story skills and structures in order to strengthen engagement, promote curiosity and facilitate change.

Her background is in Child Development and Play-work, as well as in the design and delivery of training. She was part of a national, government-led research project in 2008 that led to the publication of ‘The Evaluator’s Cookbook’, published by Routledge. In the early 1990’s she went to live in Ghana for 6 years and worked as a freelance consultant for UNICEF, DFID (Department for International Development,) and the UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees.)  The focus of her work was on narrative being used as a powerful communication tool within community, organisational and systems development as well as within personal development. She now lives in Sweden has first-hand experience of what it is to be an immigrant learning a new language and culture and is grateful for this learning opportunity.

Katrice has 30 years of experience in the field of narrative and has carved out a reputation as an inspiring and passionate trainer and speaker. Her passion is enabling children, people and organisations find their voice, recognize its worth and share their story knowing that it has value.
