Mental Health & Well-being Workshops

‘50% of mental health problems are established by age 14
and 75% by age 24*'

Given our community's reach from kindergarten to university, the statistic above from the Mental Health Foundation gives us a lot to think about. We learned this statistic from a speaker at our inaugural Mental Health & Well-being Workshop in 2019. We also learned that: ‘Student suicide in the US has tripled since the 1950s.’ and ‘suicide is the second leading cause of death in the US for youth ages 15–24’.

We wish tough topics like student self-harm and suicide did not require our collective attention, understanding and action, but many statistics confirm they do.

Here are some ways we can support you in your work to support students’ mental health and well-being across cultures.
