In addition to her professional experience, Lindsey holds an M.S. degree in Adolescent Education from Pace University, which she earned through a Fellowship funded by the NYC Department of Education. She also has a Masters in Art History from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in poetry from Oberlin College. Lindsey brings a wealth of knowledge and a breadth of experience from schools around the world and will be a wonderful addition to the Mulgrave community.

Mulgrave retained CIS Leadership Searches, represented by Pauline O’Brien, Director of Career & Recruitment Services, to lead the search for a new Deputy Head of School. A process of careful evaluation ensued, matching the skills, experiences and philosophies of the candidates against the needs of the school. Contending candidates were personally video-interviewed by CIS to ensure that each candidate put forward to Mulgrave was a potential match. Finalists were then invited to Vancouver to meet with the Head of School and constituent groups of the community.

John Wray, Head of School commented ‘We are delighted that Lindsey and her family will be joining the community at Mulgrave. Her international and IB experience and her wide portfolio of skills and qualities make her an ideal fit for our leadership team and our school’.

Lindsey Berns added ‘I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Mulgrave, an innovative and forward-looking school, at this exciting stage in its development. I sincerely thank CIS' leadership recruitment service for a personalized, well-organized search process, led by Pauline O'Brien who offered invaluable wisdom and insight at every step.’
