Our School

Berlin International School offers the PYP, IGCSE and IB Diploma Programmes as well as an accredited US High School Diploma. There are approximately 820 students in the Primary and Secondary school. Our students come from over 60 different countries and our faculty of 90 staff from over 20 countries. B.I.S. is located in two historic buildings set in a beautiful leafy green suburb of Germany's capital city.

Our Mission

Berlin International School is an IB World School and an officially recognized private school in the State of Berlin. We are a private, non-profit, non-denominational day school offering student-centered learning to international and local students from Grade 1 through university entrance preparation. We are a part of Stiftung Private-Kant Schulen gGmbH and play an active role in the life of this educational institution.

Secondary: Full-time German Teacher (26 lessons of 45 minutes duration)

We are seeking a qualified teacher to teach German (Mother tongue) in Grades 6-10 and Grades 11 & 12 (IB Diploma) an interest and ability to also teach German as an additional language would be advantageous. You will be joining an innovative department, ensuring high quality teaching, learning and student achievement. Our mission is to meet the needs of the Berlin International Community. The successful applicant will have the ability and the experience to teach and inspire students from a diverse international background.

The successful candidates will be joining a high performing and dedicated international faculty focused on enabling all students to achieve their potential.General Qualifications & experience:
Teacher certification (2. Staatsexamen or equivalent) is required with, preferably, a minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience.

Though not essential, international school experience and knowledge of the IB diploma programme is highly desirable.

You should enjoy working in a team of dedicated colleagues and be used to developing your own materials in order to support students in a differentiated learning environment
