About the Opportunity
Orbital Education (https://orbitaled.com/) are seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic practitioner who has a proven track record of successful leadership in a whole school context. This opportunity will suit a skilled and hard-working teacher who has at least three years leadership experience in a British style international school. The school has over 1,000 students on roll, and will provide an exceptional British style education, leading to UK and international qualifications, to mostly Ecuadorian students.

About the Role
The Head of Secondary is accountable for standards within the secondary phase, including curriculum, teaching and learning, and student and staff performance. In this role you will support the delivery of the school's mission and vision, through the implementation and constant monitoring of the academic programmes.
The role requires an individual who can successfully motivate and manage by delegating responsibility, setting clear expectations and targets and evaluating performance, to ensure all pupils and staff are empowered to excel and surpass expectations.
The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in the development and implementation of the school’s strategic plan. Full professional competence and experience of working in Spanish is essential.
About the person
The ideal candidate for this exciting and challenging role must be able to demonstrate:
- Substantial previous experience as a school leader in an SLT position
- British style International School experience, outside the UK in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural setting. Latin American experience a distinct advantage
- A passion and a drive for education and excellence at all levels
- Full professional competence and fluency in Spanish language is essential
- The ability to work collaboratively with peers towards the achievement of common goals
- A passion and a drive for developing teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning experiences for their students.
