Call for Proposals
The call for Forum session proposals is now open. We welcome submissions from current CIS member universities and schools. Presenting at the Forum provides an opportunity to share meaningful knowledge, research, and practices related to the advancement of international admission, guidance, and education, as well as the development of global citizenship and intercultural competence.
NEW THIS YEAR!
This year, in addition to our standard sessions which are lecture-style or panel presentations, we hope that you will consider the following new delivery formats as you submit proposals:
Do you have an area of interest, a story, or an idea that you want to share with our community? In the Rapid Round, individual presenters will be given a maximum of 7 minutes and 12 slides to share their topic of interest. This is the perfect format for someone to highlight a project, story, or idea in a succinct manner to engage the community, pique our curiosity, and contribute to our learning. Use the Rapid Round to let your imagination run wild, and be creative with your topic of choice. All proposals relevant to university admissions, school counselling, or both will be given full consideration. We hope you will try out this dynamic and unconventional presentation style.
These workshops involve audience participation with the audience breaking into discussion groups or working groups around an issue. Workshops will be limited to a maximum of two facilitators to ensure that the focus is on audience involvement. Rooms for this format will be set up with round tables to encourage audience interaction. If you have an idea of an interactive topic, this is the format for you.
