Cécile Doyen, a native of Belgium and US citizen, joined CIS in August 2017. Cécile is currently an Associate Director of School Support & Evaluation Services. Prior to working with CIS, Cécile worked for the International Baccalaureate (IB), designing professional development opportunities for international educators and leading the development of the IB curriculum, with particular attention to early childhood education and language learning in multilingual settings.
Via a small enterprise she built and managed between 2008 and 2011, Cécile sharpened her business acumen by providing consulting services in e-learning, online training and ICT integration. Ever since then, Cécile has been keen to leverage technology to support innovative educational initiatives.
Cécile has 20 years of experience in the international education community as an early childhood educator, a language teacher, a school administrator, a workshop leader and curriculum developer. She brings to CIS a strong knowledge base of effective pedagogical practices and years of experience as a professional in the field of professional development. Cécile holds master's degrees in Early Childhood Education from the USA and in Instructional Design from the University of Strasbourg (with focus on adult learning theories). Cécile is fully bilingual in English and French and has some knowledge of German and Dutch.
